Women’s Welsh Collaborative Quilt | 28th March

£40.00

The Community Shawl Project will be bringing an exciting new project and workshops to Brecon for the Brecon Women’s Festival!

Join us in launching a new project for 2026, inspired by The Red Dress Embroidery Project and The Community Shawl Project

{The Dress, The Shawl, The Quilt!}

The Women’s Welsh Collaborative Quilt is open to any woman living in Wales.

The quilt squares can be any style of sewing or embroidery you wish, as long as there is an element of red, and should be 9x9cm.

You can create images, words or designs that portray the achievements of women, however small or large - whether it’s something brave, political, celebratory or a wonderful memory. Your piece will be from your perspective, and can be traditional or contemporary.

We will have some material, needles and threads to hand, but do bring your own if you prefer.

Any pieces unfinished on the day can be posted to Emma at:
Community Quilt Project, The Makers Studio, Craft Renaissance, Kemeys Commander, NP15 1JU

ALSO - you can’t attend on these dates, you can create one at home and send to that same address. Please send before 1st June 2026.
